Doing the maths: Ohm's Law

A learner samples the Ohm's law hexagonal activity.

When learners struggle with a concept such as Ohm's Law, the challenge for them may lie in the basic Mathematics. This card matching activity will reveal whether this is the case for your learners. It uses the set of cards that you will find in the resource box. The set can also be downloaded.

The approach used in this activity helps both teachers and learners to understand where difficulties and misconceptions lie, and what needs to be addressed. Watch the video clip to see it in action, and to begin thinking about where a similar approach might suit your learners.

Download the activity guide for instructions on using the activity.
