Putting it into action

Jonathan Lloyd, Bronze award winner at World Skills 2007 Japan.

Not everyone has access to a resource like the National Space Centre nor will contenders for WorldSkills emerge from every class or workshop. Nevertheless, these examples do illustrate some approaches that could be useful to you and your learners.

If you are inspired to think further about working with other organisations, start by talking to your colleagues. They might have ideas and be willing to collaborate with you to get something started.

The outcome might be something that excites your learners, widens their horizons and motivates them to achieve. It could also lead to significant opportunities for your own continuing professional development.
